Big Idea
Salon on Main had a general lack of consistency or strategy when it came to social media, mainly Instagram. I was hired because of my advertising degree to provide insight and action on how to improve their Instagram presence.
Upon studying our account's insights, I determined that our target demographic is women aged 25-50. Although this is a large age range, the majority of our followers rave over our trend reels and big transformation posts, so we shifted our focus to trending sounds and post styles in the industry. While much of the content is created by the stylists themselves, I support them with strategy, trends, editing, and copy.
Much of the problem was also a lack of content and engagement from the stylists within the salon, so I had the opportunity to create posts and caption copy for multiple stylists, as well as engage with their followers on their stylist accounts.
Social media is ever evolving, so constant research, engagement, and revamping is essential for consistent growth. The views are where the trends are.
